Introduction to and purposes of teaching and scientific research:
Modern information exchange laboratory can meet the requirements of speciality courses and experimental teaching and graduation design for undergraduate as well as graduate in the department of electrical engineering,including electronic information engineering, communication engineering. As the core of optical fiber communication technology and modern switching technology, Modern information exchange laboratory is a professional course lab which has 20 teaching equipment. Now, the lab mainly undertakes teaching tasks such as optical fiber communication experiment, modern switching technology experiment, Elective course of fiber-optical communication measurement technology experiment, graduation design, and so on. The lab also has simple research conditions.
This lab has such equipments as fiber-optical communication comprehensive experiment boxes, SPC exchange comprehensive experiment boxes, oscilloscope, optical power meter, digital multimeter, frequency meter, fusion splicer, Erbium-doped Optical Fiber Amplifier (EDFA), fiber optical identifier and so on; It also has optical fiber communication simulation software optisystem3.0.
