Introduction of the equipments：
The lab is divided into six sections：the section of LAN exchange experiment，the section of routing experiment，the section of safety experiment，the section of VoIP experiment，the section of calculation，and the section of storage.
the section of LAN exchange experiment: it mainly provides students the complete environment of three-tier exchange experiment, finishing traditional two-tier exchange experiments such as VLAN, VTP, TRUNK，Spanning-Tree, Ethernet-Channel and so on. Simultaneously, it has the function to build complex exchange environment.
the section of routing experiment: it mainly provides flexible routing experiment building a platform. The whole region is composed of several Cisco high-performance routers. Students and users can flexibly build the platform on demand, then finish the experimental requirements depending on static, dynamic, and complex routing environments.
the section of safety experiment: it mainly focus on advanced security technology. As a Cisco firewall device of integrated defense platform, it provides students the reference of mature firewall deployment mode. At the same time, it provides students the experimental environments of IPsec VPN，SSL VPN and DMVPN on a unified platform.. As a complement of the security technology, AAA authentication experiment mainly provides students an experimental platform of centralized device management and user login management.
the section of VoIP experiment: It uses the most advanced VoIP solutions, providing students the framework and concept of advanced IP voice. When it guarantees the completeness of experimental environments, it also focuses on ensuring the connection among the experiment, real production and application environment, keeping the network lab advancing with the times.
the section of calculation: it uses the X2250 series rack-mounted server of SUN to build the region of calculation. The whole equipments in this area connect with the campus network by gigabit switch directly, and provide several services such as high-performance computing, database, software simulation and so on.
the section of storage: it uses the ST2540 series disk array of SUN and the area consisting of Brocade 200E fabric switch. The servers of calculation area connect the fabric switch by fiber NIC, sharing the disk space of the storage area.
