Educational goal of network engineering
Brief introduction
Network engineering was established in 2007 with a class of students already. We are training interdisciplinary talents with good scientific attainments and command of the basic knowledge and skills of computer networks, including the structure and connectivity of the network system, network development and maintenance, the basic principles of network security, basic knowledge and basic technical and Methods to engage in Computer network system planning, design, integration, development, teaching and management in Research institutes, schools, enterprises and administrative units.
New network engineering laboratories and network cabling laboratory will be built to serve the major.
Specialty of the Major
Network engineering is a rare major which will be propitious to the employment of graduates.
Focusing on mobile communications, wireless networks, etc., the munificent practice courses are set up to develop the skill of creation and practice and combine with the school’s specialty of shipping.
Training Goal
Our major mainly learn about the electronic technology, computer science and technology, the basic theory and knowledge of computer network, receive training about research and application of network and command the basic skill to develop network system.
The graduates’ skills may contain:
Knowledge of hardware, software, and applications of computer and ability to master the characteristics and requirements of computer application system.
The theoretical basis of computer network technology and mobile communication network, in-depth understanding of a variety of network protocols, knowledge of the principles of the mainstream network equipment engaged in network planning and performance analysis, network operators, maintenance and management, network security and other professional and technical work.
Practical training of the design, development and application of computer hardware, software and networking technology.

Course Introduction
Principle of computer network:
This course is a university-level course introducing the basic principles of the computer network with Internet’s TCP / IP architecture based on the comprehensive knowledge about the computer network. This course also introduces LAN technologies and protocols by IEEE 802 series. Through the learning students can have a general understanding of network based on learned knowledge of structure and principle and understand computer network architecture and basic principles, especially the TCP / IP protocol family and IEEE 802 series to cultivate the practical ability to enable students to fully apply and master the science of modern network management methods and quickly adapt to the management of all aspects of society services and lay a good foundation for the development and management of the Internet and LAN.
Network communication
This course introduces the basic principles of IP broadband communication network technologies, including data exchange, the core protocol of the IP communication network (H.323 and SIP), IP network QOS technology, security technology and a detailed analysis of the IP network of some new technologies, such as MPLS, PLC, and IP broadband network.
Computer Interface Technology
The course starts from the microprocessor to analyze the programming structure of the 8086 CPU, internal timing and command system, and has made the introduction of the structural of the Pentium Ⅰ and Pentium 4. Then it introduces several structures, signal and characteristics of PC / XTISA, PCI, USB and AGP bus. Finally, it analyzes the parallel / serial I / O interface, timer / counter, interrupt controller, DMA controller interface technology, and D / A and A / D conversion, keyboard and LED display, CRT, LCD and PDP monitors and printers.
Mobile communication technology
This course introduces the characteristics of the mobile radio propagation environment and analyzes the existing wireless communication systems and satellite communications systems. It also introduces some of the key technologies of mobile communication system, such as multiple access wireless access, channel coding, channel allocation, multiplexing, special wideband (UWB) technology Bluetooth network.
Network protocol and program design
Focusing on the TCP / IP protocol, this course introduces client / server architecture, browser, e-mail and communication protocols and explains in detail the programming part of the TCP / IP network protocol so that students can understand how to interact with the program.
Network technology and management
This course describes how to manage network with tools by theory and practice; how to dispose when a failure occurs; How to protect against cyber attacks; how to monitor the operation of the network state, etc., so that students have the actual operational capacity for the management and maintenance of the network running through learning.
Staff
There are 9 faculty including 2 professors, 3 associate professors and 4 teachers with PhD degrees. All the teachers seriously observe teaching standard to maintain teaching quality.
Employment
The graduates can be engaged in planning, design, integration and development of computer network system in enterprises and institutions.
