Brief Introduction
Communication and information system is the focus of the information field, including mobile communications, multimedia communication, computer and data communication, satellite communication, optical fiber communication, signal and information processing and communication network design and management, etc. Since we had successfully applied for the master’s degree in this subject, in 1996, we have got a tremendous development, and set up a vigorous scientific research team with highly educated and proper age structure, including six professors, nine associate professors and a number of young doctors equipped with great development potential.
Professor Zeng Liansun is the leader in this subject, and he engages in the research of wireless access technology and positioning navigation technology. He is the executive director of the Joint Laboratory on Wireless Positioning and Measurement and Control Technology in the Shanghai EXPO, 2010, the general director of RFID-Based Passenger Guide Technology in the EXPO which is vital project of the Science and Technology Department, the chief commander of the Shanghai ground wireless measurement and control network which is the Shanghai Key Information Construction Project, from 2005 to 2006. In additional, Professor Zeng is the vice director of Positioning and Navigation Professional Committee in Shanghai Communication Industry Association, the vice president of Mobile Communication Committee in Pudong New District, the member of Shanghai Society of Inertial Technology. Once, he was in charge of three projects of National Defense Seven Five Pre-research, one project of National Defense Eight Five Pre-research, one Foundation Project. In recent five years, his group have developed more than 20 naval vessel equipment introduced from Russia, and also developed some aerospace science and technology, such as three kinds of missile piloting instrument, control cabinet, electric rudder, seeker, the intelligent test system ( platform) of gyro. In 2005, Professor Zeng won the third prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Prize Among the Whole Army. What’s more, he has published more than 20 papers in the journals like <Acta Automatica Sinica>.
Professor Xie Hong is the academic leader in this subject, who got his doctoral degree in the major of electronic system and automation in North China Electric Power University, in April 2002. He engaged in post-doctoral research in School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering in Shanghai Jiao Tong University from January 2002 to January 2004. He visited School of Information Technology in University of Technology, Sydney, as an expert from July 2004 to September 2004. In addition, he has published more than 20 papers both in journals and international conference at home and abroad. Also, he has chaired or participated in more than 10 scientific research projects of nation and enterprises. What’s more, he was awarded a third prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Prize of former National Science Committee, a second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Prize of Shanghai Science Committee, a second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Prize of Hebei Electric Power Industry Bureau.
Other academic leaders all have a very deep knowledge in intelligent transportation system, optical communication technology and transportation communication system.

Master the basic theory of communication science and information science, master the general theory and technology of electronic science, computer science and control science, have the ability to research and develop and take on teaching work in communication science, information science and other related fields, have rigorous style of study and noble ethics in work, have innovation consciousness in some kinds of research field and professional direction in this subject, have the passion to innovate and the basis of innovation, and can be engaged in the scientific research or bear special technical work.
