Dr. Jin Liu received the B.S. degree from Lanzhou University, Lanzhou China, the M.S.degree from University of Electrical Technology of China, Chengdu, China, and the Ph.D degree from Washington State University, Pullman, WA, USA in 1997, 2002 and 2009 respectively, all in computer science. He is associate director of Shipping Information Technology Institute, Shanghai International Shipping Institute, Shanghai, China. He had held industrial R&D position at Windows Core Networking Division, Microsoft, WA, USA. He is currently an assistant professor at the College of Information Engineering, Shanghai Maritime University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include wireless sensor network, distributed computing, semantic web and software engineering.
