Dr. Liu received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 1999 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2009. He had worked for Huawei Technology in Beijing as a software engineer from 2001 and an algorithm engineer in Shanghai from 2008. Then he made post-doc research at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) from 2009. Since 2011, he joined Shanghai Maritime University, where he is currently a lecture at the Department of Electronic Engineering.

Dr. Liu is a Member of IEEE and IEICE. His research interests are in the area of signal processing, wireless communication, and network information theory, in particular, advanced interference management, coding/decoding, modulation/demodulation, detection and estimation, degree of freedom analysis, network scheduling, and MIMO techniques. He has recently published many journal/conference papers and applied many patents on these topics.
